Move On 2027

After the first edition of the project—which promoted employment and competitiveness in the Sicily–Malta area by supporting 100 cross-border mobility opportunities for young people and recent graduates—Move On 2027 returns to enhance the cultural, professional, and skills-exchange experience, with a structured and comprehensive programme at all levels.

THE PROJECT

Move On 2027 aims to enhance human capital by involving participants in cross-border mobility experiences—not only young people transitioning from education to employment, but also employed individuals such as entrepreneurs, managers, and professionals.

Strengthening the network

The project also aims to strengthen the “cross-border network”, already created during the 2014–2020 period, and to turn it into a dynamic platform for cross-border cooperation not only in training, employment, and mobility, but also in entrepreneurship and innovation between Sicily and Malta.

Free for all

Move On 2027 is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the INTERREG VI-A Italy–Malta programme, which supports cross-border and regional cooperation through projects focused on training, collaboration, and the exchange of good practices. All proposed activities are therefore free of charge for the beneficiaries involved.

TARGET GROUPS

Move On 2027 will involve 75 beneficiaries from civil society and the productive sector—from young people to professionals, from stakeholders to key organisations operating in Sicily and Malta.

Young people in transition

Young people transitioning from education to employment, particularly recent graduates from secondary school or university.

Employed subjects

Employed individuals, such as entrepreneurs, managers, technicians, operators, and freelancers.

Policy makers e stakeholders chiave

Policy makers and key stakeholders, including employment services, secondary schools, Higher Technical Institutes, universities and research centres, training institutions, employment agencies, business incubators and co-working spaces, employer associations and trade unions.

EVENTS

The Move On 2027 project includes the organisation of events, both online and in person, in Sicily and Malta. These initiatives are crucial for promoting the project, engaging beneficiaries, supporting skills development, and strengthening the cross-border professional network.

  • Launch events for public notices to encourage participation
  • Events to raise awareness among key stakeholders and foster their adhesion to the Memorandum of Understanding
  • Orientation meetings
  • Follow-up meetings
  • National and cross-border focus groups
  • Final event, both in person and via video streaming, presenting the project’s results
